Having 700+ servers in 34 countries, SaferVPN isn’t small by any standards, and is starting to catch up with the big players in the field.
It is the goto VPN if you are looking to stay safe from hackers and snoops. While they do offer a variety of features and services, they are not as well known as other VPNs.

- Automatic Wi-Fi Security
- Unlimited Speed and Bandwith
- 1300+ high speed servers in over 50 worldwide locations
- 24×7 Live Chat and Email Support

Security and Technology
Its always good to see a VPN provider that supports IKEv, PPTP, L2TP, and OpenVPN right out of the box. Plus if you are too lazy to select a location to connect to, SaferVPN determines the fastest server location for you based on anonymous metrics like download speed, latency, and distance. With a 256-bit strong encryption, you are getting some very strong security attached to your browsing experience.
Speed and Latency
We can say that generally, speeds are high, and uploading and downloading files is easy. But some servers we tested are slower than others. So as with other VPNs, your mileage may vary. You get a small drop in latency but still useable if you are into online games and streaming
Support and Logging
They claim to have a no-log policy with no logs on your source IP address, DNS queries, VPN IP address, personal data, browsing history, and metadata. However, there is a mention of ‘Unlawful Activity’ clause in the Terms of Service that states that if you’ve violated SaferVPN’s rules, the company may disclose details “relating to your profile, email addresses, usage history, posted materials, IP addresses and traffic information.”
Their support service is decent with it being available 24/7, including on their Facebook page.
Streaming and Geo Restriction
Want to watch that hot new show on Netflix but you’re not in the US? Great news, SaferVPN works well to unblock such streaming services. But if you are thinking of using the service in a place like China, then bad news. The service is reported to no longer work within that region so might want to try something else.
Not the cheapest VPN service but by no means the most expensive. You can get a 3-year plan for just $2.50/month, a 2-year plan for $3.29/month, a single year plan for $5.49/month and a single month plan for $12.95.
So Is It Worth It?
If you are looking to hide your activities in certain censored states, then this is a bad option for you but if you are a gamer or streamer wishing to watch geo-restricted content and want a provider with strong security then SaferVPN might be for you. It’s a little more on the pricey side of things but again, it depends on what you are looking or in a VPN.
